## Staking set up around how your organization holds ETH

Develp brings Ethereum expertise to institutional staking. Our team also builds Nimbus, one of the software clients Ethereum runs on, and has run validators since the Merge in 2022.

- [Custodians and platforms](https://develp.co/staking/custodians/): A setup that differs from the operators you already use.
- [Asset managers and funds](https://develp.co/staking/asset-managers/): Fund ETH staked while your custodian keeps control.
- [Treasuries](https://develp.co/staking/treasuries/): Stake the company's ETH without giving up control.
- [Foundations, DAOs and L2s](https://develp.co/staking/foundations/): A public record and proposal text your governance can vote on.

## Ways to start with Develp

- [Direct staking](https://develp.co/staking/): Validators for your organization. Sized to your stake, with the withdrawal credentials on your address.
- [A second operator](https://develp.co/staking/#second-operator): Keep your operator, add Develp. A share of your stake, on a different setup.
- [Assessment](https://develp.co/assessment/): See how concentrated your setup is. Written findings, and what would lower the risk.

## Focused on Ethereum, run by the team behind Nimbus

- **Ethereum only**: Develp stakes on Ethereum and no other network.
- **Upgrades from the inside**: Our team follows each upgrade before it reaches mainnet.
- **Spread across providers and regions**: More than one provider and more than one region.
- **Watched around the clock**: Monitored day and night, with an on-call team.

## From the first call to live validators

1. **Scoping call**: Your stake, custody and reporting needs.
2. **Setup design**: Validators sized to your stake, with relays that fit your policy.
3. **Diligence pack**: What your risk, legal and security teams ask for.
4. **Key setup**: Keys generated offline, with withdrawal credentials on your address.
5. **Live, with reporting**: Your validators go live and reports start.

## Reports your finance and risk teams can use

Reports are shaped to what your teams need: rewards, performance beside the network's for the same period and the status of every validator.

## A record you can check

None of our validators have been slashed since the Merge in September 2022, through every network upgrade.

## Group and partners

- **Institute of Free Technology**: The group Develp belongs to.
- **Nimbus**: The consensus client our team builds.
- **Lido**: Develp has been a Lido node operator since 2023.
- **Miga Labs**: Develp's partner for Ethereum network data.

## Latest from Insights

## Questions institutions ask

### Who holds the withdrawal credentials?

You do. They are set when a validator is created and point to an address you control, the only place its stake can go. Develp manages the keys that sign duties, and those keys cannot move funds.

### How is concentration risk handled?

Every setup is designed with concentration in mind, and the assessment shows where a stake is concentrated today.

### How do exits work?

Since the Pectra upgrade in May 2025, the address in your withdrawal credentials can trigger an exit on its own, and Develp can also send the exit for you. The network's exit queue sets the wait, and it moves with demand.

### How are fees set?

Per client, depending on the stake and the setup. The team goes through them on a call.
